On Sunday, September 30th, at 2:00 o’clock p.m., the One New London party will be hosting a community forum at the New London Public Library. The party will be revealing its platform, and plan to improve New
London. One New London City Councilor Bill Cornish will be present to answer questions and take input.

On Tuesday, August 28th, at 7:00 p.m. there will be a membership meeting at 50 Denison, in New London. The purpose of the meeting will be to vote on party policies and by-law changes.
The next One New London community forum will be in September. The time, date and location are yet to be announced. The four One New London city council candidates will be available to answer questions, and the One New London 2007 platform will be unveiled.
The One New London slate for 2007 City Council is: Charles Frink, Bill Cornish, Suzanne Berkman, J. Miguel Risario.
The Annual Meeting of One New London will be held on Sunday July 8th. It will be at 1:00 p.m. at the RAFA Club, 135 Garfield Avenue.
The next community forum will be held January 21, 2007 at the New London Public Library 2-4 PM. All are wlcome. Additional forum dates are: 2/18, 3/18, 4/15, and 5/13.
At a meeting of the One New London Executive Committee on September 15, 2006, a proposal was made that Councilor Bill Cornish request Mayor Sabilia reassign him from the Parking Commission in order to eliminate any concerns regarding conflict of interest as reported in The Day, September 4, 2006. The proposal was approved and brought to Councilor Cornish who declined to act on the committee’s recommendation.
One New London recognizes the City of New London Code of Ethics which, in part, states:
“People have a fundamental right to expect that public officials and employees will conduct themselves in a manner that will tend to preserve public confidence in and respect for the government they represent. An official or employee having a financial or personal interest in any matter or transaction shall not engage in deliberations concerning the matter, shall disqualify himself from acting on the matter and shall not communicate about such matter with any person who will participate in the action to be taken on such matter.”
The One New London Executive Committee regards this proposal as the appropriate action on this matter at this time.
On Sunday October 29th Councilor Bill Cornish will be at the New London Public Library from 2-4 p.m.. Among other topics, Councilor Cornish will be present to answer questions regarding his participation in the Parking Commission. All are welcome.
Attend the next New London Community forum Sunday, October 29 from 2-4 PM at the newly renovated New London Public Library Community Room. City Councilors Bill Cornish and Charles Frink will be available to listen to your concerns, comments and questions. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
