Bill Cornish

Bill CornishLifelong city resident BILL CORNISH believes that “The people of New London need more choices in politicians and leadership.”

He has wide experience in both business and community activities.
The owner and operator of Cornish Contracting and Real Estate, Mr. Cornish also worked as a district manager for SNET. His education includes an associate degree in Business Administration from Mitchell College, and a B.S. in Business from the University of New Haven where he was in the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society. He completed additional professional development programs at Northwestern University, UCLA, and the Yale School of Management.

Active in community activities, Mr. Cornish is a board member of the Main Street Project and City Center, and was a New London founding member of the Kente African American Cultural Center. He is also co-chair of Lower Our Taxes (L.O.T.) and has served as a member of the Coalition for Better Living, the Discretionary Code Committee, the New London Taxpayer Association, the Plan of Development, and as a teacher in the high school Mentorship Program.

A resident of Mott Avenue, Mr. Cornish has three adult children and six grandchildren.
