One New London Proposes Fort Trumbull Resolution

March 20th, 2006

Over this past weekend One New London finalized a resolution for Fort Trumbull that One New London councilors Frink and Cornish will propose at the April 3rd city council meeting. It is: 1. Move the remaining houses not in parcel 4a to parcel 4a. 2. Return the titles to the property owners. 3. Property owners pay their back taxes from June 2005. 4. Property owners agree to no future lawsuits. If you support this proposal please contact your city councilors and tell them you believe this is a reasonable resolution you would like them to vote for on April 3rd. A Step in the Right Direction at the Fort

February 7th, 2006

At last night’s City Council meeting the Mayor called for enacting One New London’s proposal to compromise with the Fort Trumbull residents and offer consolidation of the remaining houses on Parcel 4a. Unfortunately the proposal was altered such that houses would be moved, but the residents would not retain ownership. While One New London is adamantly against this alteration to our proposal, we are encouraged that other city councilors are now willing to consider compromising with Fort Trumbull residents.
